Grüne Fugen : A new City Quarter

The Hindenburgkaserne was a large barracks on a hilltop on the northern outskirts of the city of Ulm, plans for its regeneration into a new city quarter required a large scale residentially led masterplan.  Our proposals foresee a relatively straightforward arrangement of new connections and blocks, that we then twist, adjust and reform to create a variety of ‘liveable streets’ to redefine the character of the new quarter.  These streets lead down to larger park, the park in turn has views to, and connects into the green network of, the wider city.
