1st prize for Innovation Quarter in Erlenbach →

Working in a new collaboration with landscape architects Drei Eins Faller we are delighted to have won first prize in the urban design competition for the “Innovationsquartier Straßenäcker” in Erlenbach. Proposed is an innovative mixed-use neighbourhood with space for living, working, producing, creating and innovating. We have been commissioned by the Town of Erlenbach and are producing a technical urban framework plan to guide future development.

Transforming the old Slaughterhouse →

Working for the local authority, JOTT, together with architect Thomas Rabe, has completed a feasibility study for the repair and conversion of the historic slaughterhouse building ensemble in Fürstenfeldbruck. The study includes both technical and strategic elements; it reimagines the historic buildings whilst creating a clear structure of function and space to provide a detailed vision for a new creative and cultural urban hub.

Together with urbanegestalt, JOTT has won 2nd prize in the workshop/competition for an innovative new urban quarter as a part of the Stuttgart IBA27 at the Neckarspinnerei in Wendlingen. Working carefully with the historic building ensemble to generate a new and distinct urban identity, the project’s focus is the development of a new typology and urban structure for the next generation of industry and innovation.

JOTT has been working with Lorenzen Mayer Architekten as part of a design workshop for “Urbane Produktion am Billebecken” in Hamburg and is delighted to announce that our submission has been selected out of strong field as the basis for the further development of the area. Aim of the project is to develop a new model for urban, high-density, production and commerce in a currently undervalued area of Hamburg. Our team’s proposals provide an urban framework within which a range of different types of businesses and production can co-exist and grow together whilst integrating the cultural and landscape specifics of the site. JOTT is excited to have won first prize in the internationational urban design competition for a new ‘Productive Urban Quarter’ in Winnenden as a part of the Internationale Bauausstellung 2027 StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBA’27). The project will create a new urban quarter with a full mix of housing, productive, creative and agricultural uses and spaces that work in close synergy with each other. We are very excited that JOTT, as a part of a team led by London practices Weston Williamson + Partners and Allies and Morrison will be working on the the Ebbsfleet Central Masterplan. The masterplan will form a new town centre that ties together the heart of the currently developing new Garden City at Ebbsfleet in North Kent outside London.
